Visitor services

If you have any needs, you can contact the ticket office staff or the security staff, who can be identified by their badge and uniform. Museum receptionists are available to visitors for information about the collection and services offered by the museum.

Ticket office

The entrance to the ticket office is located in the basement at Piazza della Santissima Annunziata, 13. It can be reached from the entrance served by an elevator, located near the Bookshop, or from the main entrance by descending the stairs or with the help of a lifting platform for people with disabilities.

Wardrobe

The Museo degli Innocenti has a free checkroom service for visitors. It is compulsory to deposit bags, backpacks, luggage, helmets and umbrellas in the special keyed lockers for the duration of the visit in order to access the exhibition route and the permanent collection.
In the spaces of the Museo degli Innocenti , visitors are expected to observe behavior in accordance with common rules of good manners. In order to ensure everyone's safety and a quality visit we ask for cooperation in observing a few simple rules. For any needs visitors may contact the ticket office staff and the hall staff. Supervisory staff, identifiable by their badges and appropriate uniforms, are always available to visitors for information about the collection and services offered by the museum.

Groups and guided tours

Permanent Collection
For guided tours of the Museum's permanent collection, reservations are required at least 15 days before the visit. To make a reservation, please fill out the reservation form or send an email to booking@istitutodeglinnocenti.it. Please note that only those consisting of a minimum of 7 up to a maximum of 25 participants will be considered as groups. For guided tours in the permanent collection spaces, microphones are not required.

Temporary Exhibitions
For guided tours of the temporary exhibition "Impressionists in Normandy," organized in collaboration with Arthemisia, reservations are required and must be made by filling out the reservation form or by sending an e-mail to ufficiogruppi@arthemisia.it. Please note that only those consisting of a minimum of 7 up to a maximum of 20 participants will be considered groups. For guided tours in the temporary exhibition spaces, microphone is, in addition, mandatory.

Please note that:

  • The use of laser pointers to indicate works is prohibited;
  • is required to keep a low tone of voice so as not to disturb other visitors.

Visiting supports

Family kit

The Museo degli Innocenti also offers captions and Itinerary designed for younger children with audio guides in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
Also available for children is the "Family kit," which is included with the entrance ticket to the permanent collection and consists of a bag made by the Pro-Fili workshop of theIstituto degli Innocenti, a map of the museum itinerary, games and cards to discover Museum in a fun and interactive way.

You can visit the Bookshop to pick up the kit.

Sound Memories

For those who want to visit the Museum in a more atmospheric way, we offer "Sound Memories," a sound journey through available time and space. Special headphones and a navigation map can be requested at the ticket office.

Bookshop

The Bookshop is located on the ground floor, in contiguity with the Architecture itinerary. It is accessible from both Piazza Santissima Annunziata and the Cortile delle Donne. Inside you can buy gadgets and texts about the history of theIstituto degli Innocenti and the Museum's permanent collection.
