Collaborations

The Foundation provides support for the activities of theIstituto degli Innocenti in its various areas of intervention for the protection and promotion of the rights of children and adolescents. In particular, the Foundation supports cultural activities aimed at enhancing, preserving and promoting the Institute's historical, archival and monumental heritage through fundraising initiatives and support for the production of publications.
The Musei di Tutti Thematic Museum Network was born in 2019 from the coming together of important museums in Florence and Fiesole. Underlying it is the belief that Cultural Heritage acquires full meaning only if it is accessible to and actively participated in by each of us.
The project conceived in 2015 by the L'abilità Association, in collaboration and with the support of Fondazione de Agostini, aims to boost the social participation of people with intellectual disabilities, facilitating their access to the world of museums and culture, through Itinerary and specific tools that enrich the educational offerings of the participating institutions. A page dedicated to the Museo degli Innocenti can be accessed on the project website.
Calliope Arts Foundation, committed to the promotion of art, literature and social history from a women's perspective, thanks to the contribution of donors Margie MacKinnon, Wayne McArdle, and Connie and Doug Clark, has supported the pilot project to restore, preserve, study and digitize some 120 signs and related documents belonging to the girls received at the Ospedale degli Innocenti in the early decades of the 1900s, which are kept in the Institute's Historical Archives.

The initiative, launched in October 2024, was created with the aim of protecting a unique heritage of great historical and emotional value, contributing to the reconstruction of women's history of the 20th century. It is one of the largest collections in the world, for which a request has been made to recognize the signs as a World Heritage Site and a bid to become part of UNESCO's Memory of the World Register.

The project resulted in the exhibition Girls in the Archives of the Innocents:1900-1921.
