An unexpected legacy

Nine scrolls of verses from Dante's La Commedia, nine pages handwritten in the 14th century in beautiful calligraphy, were found in the Historical Archives of theIstituto degli Innocenti.
The Institute pays tribute to Dante, in the year of the 700th anniversary celebration of his death, by presenting these documents to the public for the first time in an exhibition from Nov. 18 to Dec. 28, 2021 in the Sala San Giovanni, created in collaboration between the Museo degli Innocenti and the Historical Archives.
