TOGETHER
Ten photos tell the story of children returning to school after months of lockdown. Photojournalist and photographer Massimo Sestini portrayed children from 0 to 6 years old who returned to the Innocenti Pole's preschool services accompanied by their parents. He portrayed their looks, passion, spontaneity, purity, clarity, and energy.
A hymn to joy, to the desire for normality and togetherness, flowing through the images installed at the Museo degli Innocenti.
Eight photos are set up in the museum's Art Gallery in front of masterpieces by Botticelli, Della Robbia and many others, in a mix of ancient and contemporary art. One photo will be at the entrance to the Bookshop and yet another on the Verone Terrace.
The exhibition, consisting of photographs in freestanding structures, is promoted and organized by the Global Friends association, which promotes letter exchanges between Italian children and children from the Global South to create cultural bridges of knowledge and brotherhood, and theIstituto degli Innocenti , which has been working for more than 600 years in defense of children's rights in collaboration with the Department for Family Policies of the Ministry for Equal Opportunity and the Family and the National Center for Documentation and Analysis for Childhood and Adolescence.
