I Love Lego

October 13, 2021 to February 20, 2022
The I LOVE LEGO exhibition is an unmissable opportunity for all fans, families and little ones.

Works from the Museo degli Innocenti will dialogue with the temporary exhibition in a synthesis of the world of children, past and contemporary in more than 2,000 square meters of exhibition space.

The Exhibition

The legendary bricks, which have been a part of every child's childhood, but also of the fun of many adults, return in the 2021 edition of the I LOVE LEGO exhibition. In Florence, the exhibition will be housed in the Museo degli Innocenti, inside the centuries-old institution of theIstituto degli Innocenti that has always been committed to welcoming and defending and promoting the rights of children and adolescents.

Over 2 thousand square meters of exhibition space where works from the collection of the Museo degli Innocenti, the Renaissance courtyards and the historic Verone Terrace will dialogue in a continuum between history, present and future with the LEGO signature colorful displays and reproductions and with the many activities for young and old that will be offered within the event.

The exhibition, which is not directly sponsored by Lego, was put together by the most important group of private collectors we have in Italy.

What to see

The temporary exhibition - The Dioramas

Not just an exhibition, but an emotional journey, which will catapult us back to our childhood with The Dioramas: many magical reproductions of scenery, monuments and architectural works. The exhibition will feature works customized for the Florence edition, including a huge reproduction of Giotto's bell tower.

The oils on canvas - Stefano Bolcato

The exhibition always features a selection of canvases inspired by great masterpieces of art history reinterpreted and transformed into "little lego men" by Roman artist Stefano Bolcato. These will include masterpieces of art history from the Mona Lisa to the most modern portraits of Frida Kahlo.

Comedy becomes art - Legolize

Comic cartoons/installations by the creators of LEGOlize, where comedy becomes art, will also be featured. The humor page, established in 2016, currently has nearly two million fans on social media.
