A Summer at the Museum, summer centers return to the Bottega dei Ragazzi

Once again this year the Museo degli Innocenti opens its doors to the little ones for a summer of art, creativity and discovery! In September, in fact, the Bottega dei Ragazzi is offering two weeks of summer centers aimed at girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 11. Activities will be organized Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a break for a packed snack. During the first week, participants will be engaged in hands-on workshops exploring different painting-artistic techniques. Each day will be devoted to a specific art form-painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and collage-to allow young children to experiment and develop their creative skills while learning from the great masters of art history.

Instead, the second week will be dedicated to discovering colors through stories, readings, creative workshops and other curiosities. Each activity is designed to stimulate creativity and the desire to learn, drawing inspiration from great artists and their particular way of using color. Children will paint, model, experiment with unusual materials (such as earth and natural juices) and discover the deep meaning of colors in cultures and art history.
